The Volunteer Inn is a typical 17th century building, standing at the lower end of Chipping Campden's historic High Street. It was named "The Volunteer" in the mid 1800's, because local men used it, to 'sign on' for volunteer armies.
The Volunteer Inn's friendly and welcoming atmosphere attracts locals, tourists, ramblers, cyclists, business people and families alike.
Serving a wide variety of refreshments, as well as English or Indian dishes from our menu, we also provide comfortable and affordable bed and breakfast accommodation for our guests.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
The Inn has a choice of nine guest rooms offering simple, clean and tidy B&B accommodation. All rooms have a colour TV, complimentary Tea/Coffee making facilities & mineral water, toiletries and fluffy towels.
Rooms are competitively priced, starting from £35 per night, per room, which also includes breakfast served within our restaurant, at the rear of the Inn.
There is also free Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the Inn and grounds. Please note, there can be some noise from the pub at busy times.
Enjoy a drink whilst soaking up the atmosphere within our traditional Cotswold pub. During the winter months we have a roaring log fire to keep our guests cosy and warm, whilst the beer garden is the perfect place for enjoying the sunshine.
We show live football matches & rugby & cricket on four large TVs screens (one is located outside).
In the summer you can enjoy our fantastic beer garden at the rear of the Inn and a courtyard near the entrance.
The Inn is situated in a peaceful location, within a few hundred yards of the town centre and stands at the start of the Cotswold Way, a well known walk along the Cotswold Hill to Bath.
