The Volunteer Inn is a typical 17th century building
standing at the lower end of Chipping Campden's historic High Street.
Named The Volunteer in the mid 1800's because local men used to 'sign
on' there for the volunteer armies. The inn is situated in a peaceful position within a few hundred yards
of the town centre and stands at the start of the Cotswold Way - a well
known walk along the Cotswold Hill to Bath.
